Activity
Create a list of 10 questions that could form a part of your cultural assessment. Remember, these questions should enable you to gain a deeper understanding of a patient's cultural beliefs, values, and practices to help guide further assessment and treatment.
Example: Do you speak a language other than English at home?
Create a list of 5 cultural factors that may result in you needing to alter the way you assess or treat a patient. This can include factors of physical or biological origin (e.g., differing body structure) and social or behavioural origin (e.g., family influence).

Example: Your patient is of Muslim faith and you believe aquatic therapy is the most appropriate treatment. What would you do?
